John Hancock, an American merchant and patriot, played a crucial role in the American Revolution, being one of those responsible for its success.

Early Life
John Hancock, the son of a clergyman, was born on January 23, 1737, in the town of Braintree, Massachusetts, which later became the independent city of Quincy.
As a child, John became acquainted with John Adams, the future s
