Zanela &#;Zaza&#; Mokheti is a rising South African Gospel artist from Kwa-Thema, in the east of Johannesburg. Born on 29 May , she started singing at the tender age of the passing of time, her passion for music grew with her.

Upon completing her matric, Zaza enrolled for a course in music at Funda Community College, where she was introduced to many visiting artists.
At the age of 18, she worked as a vocalist for gospel greats such as Rebecca Malope, Solly Mahlangu and Keke, among others.

Shortly thereafter she joined a musical theatre group called African mama and was soon gracing world stages in countries such as the Netherlands and France. Later she joined a UK-based theatre production Africa Africa and lived in London for a her return to Mzansi in , Zaza joined Joyous Celebration.
