Shadee Elmasry is an Egyptian-American Muslim scholar of Islamic studies. He was born and raised in New Jersey. At age 18 he began learning Islamic sciences rigorously.

He studied in Hadhramaut, Mecca, Medina, London, and Cairo under many scholars.^[1][2] He has a B.A. from Rutgers University in sociology, philosophy, and comparative religion. Shadee Elmasry got his masters in comparative religion from George Washington University, and Ph.D in comparative religion from the University of London.

In 2008, he was a lector in Arabic at Yale University and Trinity College.^[1] He currently works as the Director of Education at the New Brunswick Islamic Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also founded Safina Society which is a educational institute headquartered at the New Brunswick Islamic Center.
